Winning a beautiful home in Hawaii may sound too good to be true, but it isn't.
It's very simple and a win-win for all. We are giving away this home via an essay contest because we are looking for an alternative way to convey the property to another person or family that might not qualify for conventional financing in the present state of our economy.
Background
The sponsor had a dream of building a unique Bed and Breakfast - a Castle. In the process of raising money to build the castle, the sponsor built the Sweetheart Cottage.
We have been trying to sell this work-of-art home in paradise but because of the downturn in the economy, conventional methods don't seem promising. Recently there was a piece on 20/20 about a couple in Maryland who were raffling their home. Only problem is that since a raffle is illegal in Hawaii (unless you are a non-profit organization), we turned to a game of skill instead. After thorough investigation it was discovered that a contest of skill is legal and legitimate.
It's so simple and so Win-win:
- The mortgage/bank gets paid & taxes get paid.
- Someone gets a dream home for only $101 by writing an excellent essay.
- The builder can finish his dream project, The Castle.
- Local schools get a useful gift in a time of budget cuts
(Sponsor plans to gift $30,000 to local schools to give back to the community.)
- AND tithing WILL be paid. The Sponsor strongly believes we all must never forget where our talents and abilities came from.
The winner will be responsible for the taxes, but don't let that put you off from writing the winning essay and being rewarded with this golden opportunity to own a home in a tropical paradise. You may enter often, but each unique entry must be accompanied by a separate entry fee of $101. The time to turn your life around forever is NOW. Don't hesitate. Enter NOW .
